Voice Change Surgery

Voice change surgery, also known as voice feminization surgery (VFS) or voice masculinization surgery (VMS), is a procedure that alters the pitch and quality of a person’s voice to make it more consistent with their gender identity. The surgery is often sought by individuals whose voice does not match their gender identity.

Vocal Polyp

A vocal polyp is a non-cancerous growth that develops on the vocal cords. It is typically caused by vocal abuse, such as overuse of the voice, smoking, and acid reflux. The growth can affect the voice by causing hoarseness, breathiness, and a strained quality.

Vocal Nodule

Vocal nodules are non-cancerous growths on the vocal cords that are usually caused by vocal abuse. They can affect anyone who uses their voice frequently or improperly, such as singers, actors, teachers, and public speakers.
