Botox

Botox is a cosmetic treatment that uses a purified form of botulinum toxin to temporarily paralyze muscles and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox is most commonly used on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes (crow’s feet). The treatment works by blocking the nerve signals that cause the targeted muscles to contract, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Botox results are temporary and typically last for three to six months, after which the treatment must be repeated to maintain the desired results.

Fillers

Fillers in cosmetic surgery refer to soft tissue injectable substances that are used to add volume, restore contours, and smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. Fillers are non-surgical, minimally invasive treatments that can provide immediate and noticeable results. The most common types of fillers used in cosmetic surgery include hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, and calcium hydroxyapatite fillers, such as Radiesse.

Thread Lift

A thread lift procedure in cosmetic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that uses specialized suture threads to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face and neck. The threads are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue through small incisions, and then pulled to lift and tighten the skin. The procedure can be performed in a doctor’s office or outpatient setting, and typically takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the outer layers of dead and damaged skin cells. The procedure is designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, acne scars, and other skin imperfections.

PRP

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is a cosmetic treatment utilizing a patient’s own blood to stimulate skin rejuvenation and healing. Packed with growth factors and bioactive proteins essential for tissue regeneration, PRP is commonly injected or applied topically to address fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. It also complements procedures like microneedling and fillers to enhance results. PRP is also beneficial for hair growth and maybe used for early stages of hair loss or to increase volume of hair in case of thinning. This non-surgical, minimally invasive approach promotes skin health and appearance.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion, a cosmetic procedure, enhances the skin’s appearance by removing outer layers to address issues like acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage. Utilizing a motorized brush or diamond-tipped wand, the top skin layers are gently removed, promoting healing over time and revealing smoother, even-toned skin. This versatile procedure is applicable to various areas like the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. Typically performed under local anesthesia, with the possibility of general anesthesia for certain cases, the duration and recovery period vary based on the treatment area and individual skin type.
